Read & Burn

A package that arrived in the mail yesterday served as a reminder to burn my MetaFilter Swap CDs, which I did this evening. Inside the bubble mailer was the first MeFi swap disc (one of six from the six people in my "circle") to arrive. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but it looks pretty cool -- Bjork, Kate Bush, Portishead, Kirsty MacColl and other female artists. (Artist links courtesy of mix-makers Jen and Norm, who also kindly provided a liner notes HTML file with song/artist info.)

As for my contribution, I decided to burn my Crash Into June mix, since it a) features a good number of my favorite songs/artists, b) was assembled and sequenced to flow well start-to-finish, and c) was created to fit (just barely) on an audio CD. So yeah, this mix sticks to what some might call the narrow core of my musical tastes, but hey -- no rules here, so who cares?
