Nonstop Pop is the one-stop shop for the various creative pursuits of Jen Matson, including:
- Archives of Cycles Per Second, a weekly show on Seattle radio station Hollow Earth Radio (KHUH-LP 104.9FM) that, since 2017, has featured new indie music from around the globe
- My gig-tape digitization project, with live recordings I made at rock shows from 1990-1997
- Fanzines I’ve created over the years, including my current zine on record collecting, Check the Record
- And occasional other writing like my music-centric tour diary of a 2016 trip to Australia and New Zealand, micro-blurbed online playlists, reviews of records and a music conference, and an examination of one year of my live show-going
- My circa 2002-2003 blog of NYC music-related exploits. I’m still proud of my #1 pick for best album of 2002
Other stuff outside of this site:
Indie Ephemera – A Tumblr I ran from 2015-2021 showcasing music-related artifacts from my teen/college-age years. (And hey, I was interviewed about it.)
Coloring Book – Bandcamp page with music from the band I was in ten million years ago. (Want to see the extant 90s-vintage web site? Here ya go.)
A brief appreciation of Kissyfur, specifically the band’s 1993 self-titled debut album
I’ve also been documenting my record collection cataloging project on Instagram (@nstopcom), though I’ll likely be moving that over here as I slowly wean myself off of social networks with toxic ownership. Viva le indie web!
